How do I disable confirmation on deleting a mail message in Outlook for the Web?

Today, Outlook for the Web started prompting me for confirmation when I delete an email message. I delete hundreds of messages per day. How do I turn this off? PS: I already found the answer: I was deleting messages in the Deleted items folder. It doesn't happen in other folders. Which is fine. How do I delete this question?

In Outlook on the web, the confirmation when deleting messages is controlled by the general message options for how deleted items are handled.

To stop extra prompts and streamline deletion:

    1. Sign in to Outlook on the web.
    2. Select Settings (gear icon) at the top of the page.
    3. Select Options (or View all Outlook settings, depending on layout).
    4. In the Options pane, go to Settings > Mail (or Mail > Message options).
    5. Under Message options, review and adjust:
      • After moving or deleting an item – choose the behavior that best fits (for example, automatically open the next item) so deletion is a single action.
      • If Empty the Deleted Items folder when I sign out is enabled and causing extra prompts, clear this option to avoid additional confirmation when signing out.
    6. Save changes.

With these settings adjusted, deleting messages will move them directly to Deleted Items without extra confirmation, and they will remain there until manually emptied or removed by policy.
