Hello every one,

I migrated all users to the new Outlook, and new problems are appearing every day.

Today I was informed that there's a time zone issue with the calendar; there's a two-hour difference between my FreeBusy account and my calendar.

It's in the planner that I find this information.

Do you know what could be causing this ?

Best regards.

    Dear Kokidit,

Good day! Welcome to Microsoft Q&A forum!

Based on your description, I understand that after migrating all users to the new version of Outlook, you’re encountering ongoing issues, and specifically a calendar problem related to time zones. There appears to be a two-hour discrepancy between your calendar entries and your Free/Busy availability, which you noticed in the Planner view. You’re looking to understand what might be causing this mismatch in scheduling and availability information.

To understand the situation better and provide you with the most suitable support, could you confirm the following information:

    •  You mentioned noticing this issue in Planner, do you also see this time difference:
      • In Outlook on the web directly?
      • In Microsoft Teams (for meetings or scheduling)?
    • Can you confirm what time zone is set in:
      • Outlook on the web (Settings > General > Language and time)
      • Your Microsoft 365 profile
      • Your operating system (Windows or macOS)?
    • Has your organization recently changed locations, daylight‑saving settings, or regional configurations?
    • When someone else schedules a meeting with you, does it appear:
      • Correct on their side but shifted on yours?
      • Shifted only in availability (Free/Busy) but not in the actual calendar event?

Your confirmation would be very helpful in ensuring you receive the most suitable support!

If you’re able to share a bit more about your situation, I might be able to suggest some helpful next steps.

Please understand that our initial response does not always resolve the issue immediately. However, with your help and more detailed information, we can work together to find a solution.

Kindly let me know when there are updates or if you need further assistance. Any updates you’re able to share would be really helpful. I appreciate your time and look forward to hearing how things are going!

Thank you for your time and patience.

The two-hour difference between the calendar and Free/Busy/availability is most likely caused by mismatched time zone settings between the calendar’s time zone and the time zone used for meeting (work) hours, which is what drives the availability shown in profile cards and scheduling views.

In the new Outlook (Outlook on the web), verify and align these settings:

    1. Open Outlook on the web and go to Calendar.
    2. Select Settings (gear icon) > Calendar > View.
    3. Under Time zones, check the calendar time zone.
    4. If prompted that the calendar time zone does not match the meeting hours time zone, follow the prompt to update so both use the same time zone.

The availability that other users see (and that Planner or other services may consume) is based on the meeting hours’ time zone. If that differs from the calendar’s time zone, Free/Busy can appear shifted by one or more hours.

After aligning these time zones, recheck the Scheduling Assistant/Planner to confirm that Free/Busy matches the calendar times.
