Cannot Log in to Outlook on my Home Computers

I use outlook through a school office account, as a student

I can log in to office normally, and am able to use all applications there normally

When I try to log in to view my emails at home, it brings up the log in menu, and after I attempt to log in, it brings me to the sign out page.

I can access my emails perfectly fine on my phone and any school computers

    Hello @Benjamin Grayson

Good day! I hope you are doing well.

I understand how inconvenient this issue can cause you.

To help me look into this more accurately, could you provide a bit more information about your setup:

    • Are you signing in only through the Outlook website, or have you also tried using the Outlook desktop app?
    • Which browser are you using on your home computer?
    • Have you tried signing in using a private/incognito window? If yes, what was the result?
    • Does your school require two‑factor authentication, and do you receive any MFA prompts when signing in from home?
    • Do you see any error message before it sends you to the sign‑out page? If so, please share the full error message or error code.
    • Does this problem occur only with Outlook, or are you also unable to access other Office apps on your home device?
    • What operating system is your home device running?
    • Do you know if any other students at your school are experiencing the same issue?

This information will help us understand your environment better so we can recommend the most appropriate next steps.

In the meantime, here are a few basic checks you can try:

    • Clearing your browser’s cookies and cached site data
    • Testing a different browser
    • Trying an incognito/private window
    • Temporarily disabling any browser extensions such as ad blockers or privacy tools

I apologize that I cannot jump straight to a final solution. I want to make sure I give you accurate guidance rather than suggesting something that might not apply to your situation. Once we have the details above, we’ll be able to assist you much more effectively and work toward getting this resolved for you.

Looking forward to your reply so we can continue troubleshooting this together.

i think… that loop comes from an invalid school‑token stuck in the home browser; try a private window or clear the auth cookies so it can issue a clean sign‑in. if it still fights you, remove the account from Windows’ “Access work or school” and add it back fresh.
