I have had issues with the OneNote on my iPad. I used to be able to highlight multiple words in a sentence and had been able to drag and drop file up and down desired columns. Now, i am unable to do any of that. Can i receive help to correct the issues?

    Dear @Leon Powell,

Thank you for posting your question in the Microsoft Q&A forum.

From what you described, I understand you're facing several issues with OneNote on an iPad, where the text‑selection handles in OneNote don’t respond when you try to select or extend text. Moreover, I have seen that several other users also reported the same behavior:

    For reference:

Microsoft OneNote app iPad Air 13 text select and highlight issues as of 2/3/26 (Disclaimer: This linked thread is posted by a user on the Apple Support Community, not by Microsoft)

At this time, I truly apologize that there isn't any Microsoft Official Document's reliable user‑side fix available yet, as the issue appears to be occurring at the product or service level. For reference: Fixes or workarounds for recent issues in OneNote for Mac, iPhone, and iPad

In this situation, first, I recommend submitting Feedback directly inside the OneNote app by opening the Feedback icon in the top‑right corner of the file > Report a problem.

Moreover, to ensure the issue is properly tracked and escalated, I recommend contacting your IT administrator and asking them to report the issue through the Microsoft 365 Admin Center. Submitting the report this way allows Microsoft Support to investigate it in the correct tenant context and route it to the appropriate product team.

    • Go to the Microsoft 365 admin center at https://admin.microsoft.com, and sign in with an admin account.
    • In the left-hand navigation of the admin center, go to Health > Service health, or select the Service health card on the Home dashboard.
    • Selecting Report an issue, and completing the short form
    • For reference: How to check Microsoft 365 service health

For now, it may be necessary to wait for an official fix or further update from Microsoft. If I receive any updates, guidance, or confirmation of a resolution from Microsoft, I will reach out to you as soon as possible to share the latest information.

In the meantime, please keep the OneNote app fully updated to ensure you get any patches or improvements as soon as they’re released.

Note: Please understand that as forum moderators, our primary goal is to provide helpful guidance and support to the correct supporting channels. While I don’t have access to internal systems or administrative tools required to resolve account-specific or backend issues, I truly appreciate your understanding of these limitations

I hope this information is helpful. Your satisfaction is our priority. I and Microsoft appreciate the opportunity to improve.

If you have any further concerns or need additional assistance, please don’t hesitate to contact us directly.
