    Dear @Abbey Parker,

Good day! Welcome to Microsoft Q&A forum!

Based on your description, I understand that you’re unable to access Microsoft 365 using your university account after getting a new phone, and you’re being prompted to provide a number from Microsoft Authenticator that you currently can’t access.

I sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused by this issue.

Regarding your situation, if you're an end-user, please reach out to your IT administrator for assistance. If you’re unable to sign in due to a phone change, a new phone number, or issues receiving your authentication code, your IT administrator can help by updating your authentication methods or revoking and re-registering your authentication.

If you are unable to access your university Microsoft 365 account due to issues with the Microsoft Authenticator app after getting a new phone, you may need to reset your Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) settings. Here are some steps you can take:

    1. Contact Your University Administrator: Since you are using a university account, reach out to your university's IT support or administrator. They can reset your MFA settings, allowing you to set up the Authenticator app again.
    2. Use Alternative Sign-In Methods: If your university account has alternative sign-in methods enabled (like SMS or email verification), try using those to log in.
    3. Create a Temporary Account: If you cannot reach your university's support, consider creating a temporary Microsoft 365 trial account. This will allow you to submit a support ticket to Microsoft on behalf of your original account. You can explain your situation and request assistance in regaining access to your university account.
    4. Follow Up with Microsoft Support: If you manage to create a temporary account, navigate to the Microsoft 365 Admin Center, go to Support, and raise a support ticket detailing your issue.

These steps should help you regain access to your university account.
