Cannot download Office apps despite having academic email

I am a university student and I have an academic email address provided by my institution. However, I am currently unable to download or use Microsoft Word and PowerPoint for free on my device, even though I understand that students with valid university emails should have access to Microsoft 365 Education.

Could you please assist me in resolving this issue? I would like to know whether my university email is eligible for Microsoft 365 Education, and if so, how I can activate and install Word and PowerPoint successfully.
