    Hi John,

please ask your family member to go directly to https://family.microsoft.com, sign in using the exact email address you invited, and accept the invite from the pending banner instead of clicking the email link. Gmail addresses are often already linked to an existing Microsoft account, which can cause sign‑in or account creation issues. They should also try signing in at https://account.microsoft.com and use the Forgot password option rather than creating a new account, as this is a known reason why Family sharing can fail.

If your family member is having trouble logging in or creating an account after receiving the invite, they can try the following steps:

    1. Check Email: Ensure that they are using the correct email address that you sent the invite to. They should also check their spam or junk folder for the invitation email.
    2. Accepting the Invite: Make sure they are following the steps to accept the invitation correctly. They should click on the link in the invitation email to create their account.
    3. Contact Support: If they continue to have issues, they can reach out to Microsoft support for assistance. They can visit the Microsoft 365 support page or call the support number available in their region for help.

Unfortunately, I cannot provide a specific phone number, but your family member can find the appropriate contact information by visiting the Microsoft support website.
