Why do scheduled events that repeat annually show up one month late on Outlook calendar?

When using Outlook and scheduling an event that repeats annually, for example, occurring on the 31st of January every year, I saw the events showing up the month after the one it's scheduled in.

Example event I tried to schedule: Screenshot 2025-12-30 at 4.39.26 PM Nothing on Jan 31, 2026:

The same issue in weekly views, the events are displayed one month late. This has been happening for three months now. Rather than push the work to the end user, how about fixing the software bug?

I agree - FIX THE BUG MICROSOFT - why should we have to revert to the legacy version! This is happening on annual recurring events (holidays/birthdays, etc.) For instance New Years Holiday (Jan 1) is showing up as Feb 1. You go to edit the series and it shows as Jan 1 in edit mode. Really frustrating. Works fine on Outlook Web version and works fine on my iphone - just not outlook for Mac. PLEASE FIX THIS.

I have this issue on Outlook for Mac.

This is NOT for an all day event. Just a 30 min reminder that I am looking to schedule annually on the 2nd of May - this is showing 2nd of June in the calendar. When I open the event, it says 2nd of May.

Come on Microsoft, we should not have to complain about this problem - this is 101 of a calendar application.

Hello, this issue also happens when I try to schedule an event on a date that does occur every month, for example Jan 1. The event is incorrectly rendered on Feb 1.

Hello,

The error still persists for yearly recurring events, even if they are not set at an "all-day" level. For example, if I set a yearly event on February 2nd at 09:00 to recur yearly, it will still be shifted by one month.

Can this bug be prioritized and solved? I'm using Legacy outlook due to this error, and it's not optimal, as the legacy version has limitations.

8 months on a still no progress. I have this issue with my iPhone as well.

I’m frankly amazed that you should think it’s ok to ask your paying customers to sign into their calendar in the web to see the items correctly displayed. This feels like playground stuff - if you’re not in our MS gang then we’re going to make some annoying glitches to punish you. Seriously?? Please, grow up and FIX IT! Now that you’ve snapped up a stake in Anthropic, perhaps you’ll swallow your pride and let Claude do it for you in seconds 😉

I was able to resolve the issue!

Please note that in my Outlook Web Calendar my yearly recurring events were correct!

I resolved switching back to the "Legacy Outlook" for Mac interface.

Open New Outlook on Mac.
Click on "Help" in the top menu bar.
Select "Revert to Legacy Outlook" (or similar option).
Outlook will restart in the Classic version downloading all the contents/events/mails from server

Are there any plans to resolve this issue, or are we forever stuck with workarounds? In my experience, assigning a specific time to recurring annual events did not fix the issue. I also just don't like the legacy interface, nor do I want to use OWA.
