I'm trying to sign up for the student offers but the verification form says "Your email domain is not currently registered with us. You can choose another verification method." I have already verified with GitHub that's why I'm here. Why is it not working here?

    Hello Abdulrazaq Ahmad Sabo,

It sounds like you're having trouble verifying your college email for Azure for Students due to your institution’s domain not being recognized.

Azure for Students is available only to students who meet the following requirements:

    • You must affirm that you're age 18 or older and attend an accredited, degree-granting, two-year or four-year educational institution where you're a full-time student.
    • You must verify your academic status through your institution's email address.
    • This offer isn't available for use in a massive open online course (MOOC) or in other professional trainings from for-profit organizations.
    • This offer is limited to one Azure for Student subscription per eligible customer. It's nontransferable and can't be combined with any other offer, unless otherwise permitted by Microsoft.

For detailed terms of use, see the Azure for Students offer page

If your school doesn’t have a contract with Microsoft for Azure for Students, To have your college's email domain recognized, the college administration or IT department will need to take action.

Since you already have verified GitHub Education student account , ensure you're signing in with your GitHub user ID (not your email address). Follow these steps:

    • Use the Sign in with GitHub option.
    • After signing in, navigate to the GitHub Education page to access the Azure benefits., and ensure that your Azure account settings show your primary email is verified.

Please ensure that your student status is active by confirming it in your GitHub account settings.

If verification is still in progress, it might take some time, but you should receive a notification once it's complete.

How to activate Azure from your GitHub Student Developer pack:

    • In the GitHub Offers page , browse through the available tools and locate Microsoft Azure. Click to generate your unique verification code.
    • Now go to the Microsoft website and click on “Activate Now” button where you’ll get a prompt to sign in. sign in with GitHub account.
    • Enter all your details and signup

You can directly reach out to the Azure for Education support team for manual verification. They can guide you through the verification process and help get your subscription enabled. You can contact them using this link: Azure for Education Support.

You can also submit a (free) support ticket with our Azure subscription support team by creating an Azure support request and selecting Subscription Management as the issue type.

Refer to this FAQ: How do I submit a support request if I can't sign in to the Azure portal?
