Can’t open new document

For the past few days I haven’t been able to open a new document on my Microsoft word. When i try to click on any template it just doesn’t react at all. I have signed out and back in and deleted and redownloaded the app but nothing has helped. I work on an IPad Air 5th generation.

    According to your concern, this is highly a compatibility problem related to recent update of Microsoft Word with iOS. Not only you have experienced this issue, but recently there are some other users have already reported about the same behavior that tapping Blank Document or other templates does nothing.     I have researched through Microsoft product help and other official information sources but up to now, there is no Microsoft help article or announcement found and also no troubleshooting guidance addressing this issue. Therefore, to avoid negative effect this issue may cause to your workflow, I highly suggest temporarily using Word Online until the next update of Word with better performance and compatibility with iOS.

    Additionally, I strongly recommend submitting in-app feedback so that your experience can be formally logged with the engineering team. You can do this from Word > Feedback or go to Microsoft 365 Feedback Hub > send feedback.
