- Your Microsoft 365 subscription expired or wasn’t renewed.
- You signed in with the wrong account (Microsoft 365 is tied to the account you purchased or activated it with).
- If Office was pre-installed on your new PC, it may only include a trial version, so you’ll need to activate with your subscription or buy a plan.
Firstly, please help me identify your subscription status (in case your account has mismatch with your license or subscription)
- Go to account.microsoft.com/services and sign in with the same Microsoft account you used for your Microsoft 365 purchase.
- Confirm if your subscription is active or expired. If expired, you’ll need to renew.
- If you have multiple Microsoft accounts, make sure you’re using the one linked to your Microsoft 365 subscription
After checking, you can try to install it on your new PC via Microsoft official link:
- Go to m365.cloud.microsoft/apps
- Sign in with your Microsoft account.
- Select Install apps and follow the prompts to download and install.
- After installation, open any Office app (like Word), accept the license agreement, and sign in with your Microsoft account to activate.
