A Microsoft Viva module that provides insights and recommendations designed to improve productivity and wellbeing.
Hi @Melanie Perry
Thank you for posting your question in the Microsoft Q&A forum.
This change appears to be intentional from Microsoft. In the past, when you selected Last 12 months or 90 days in Community Analytics and exported the CSV, the file included daily activity data for the entire range. Now, those longer ranges have been simplified to provide summary-level metrics only, rather than day-by-day detail.
According to the official documentation on View community insights - Microsoft Support, yearly counts are refreshed weekly and only reflect data up to the most recent full month. This means that a 365‑day export will provide aggregated data such as weekly or monthly totals, not a full daily record for each of the 365 days.
Other users have confirmed the same behavior in the comment section of this post New and Improved Community Analytics in Viva Engage | Microsoft Community Hub.
Current behavior:
-Short ranges such as 7 or 28 days still provide detailed daily metrics in the CSV export.
-Longer ranges such as 90 days or 12 months now provide only summary totals for the selected period.
If your goal is to analyze daily or monthly trends across a year, the best workaround is to run multiple exports for shorter windows and then combine them for your analysis.
I understand this change may feel restrictive if you relied on the longer daily exports, but hopefully this helps clarify what is happening and gives you a practical way forward.
I hope this information is helpful.
