    Hi @Ruby,

    Welcome to Microsoft Q&A forum.

Thank you for sharing the details. I understand how important it is to access your school account on your tablet, especially when it works fine on school devices.

Based on your description, the issue usually occurs when the Microsoft 365 apps on the tablet do not recognize the school account as licensed. This can happen for several reasons, such as:

    • The tablet is signed in with a personal Microsoft account instead of the school account.
    • The school account is not fully activated or linked to the Microsoft 365 apps.
    • Device management or security policies applied by your school may restrict access on personal devices.
    • Outdated app versions or compatibility issues with the tablet’s operating system.

Here are some steps you can try to troubleshoot:

    1. Verify your account
    1. Check account settings in apps
    • Open any Microsoft app (Word, Excel) on your tablet.
    • Go to File → Account and confirm that your school account is listed as the signed-in account.
    1. Remove personal account
    • If a personal account is primary, remove it and keep only the school account.
    1. Reinstall apps
    • Uninstall and reinstall Microsoft 365 apps from the official store to clear cached data.
    1. Contact IT Support
    • If you try these steps and the issue persists, please contact your school’s IT support team. They can confirm if any restrictions or policies are preventing access on personal devices.

I hope this information is helpful. Please follow these steps and let me know if it works for you. If not, we can work together to resolve this.

Thank you for your patience and your understanding. If you have any questions or need further assistance, please feel free to share them in the comments on this post so I can continue to support you.

I look forward to your thoughts on this.

It sounds like you are experiencing issues with your Microsoft 365 account on your personal tablet, where it prompts you to "go premium" despite having access on school devices. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot this issue:

    1. Sign Out and Sign Back In: Open a Microsoft 365 app on your tablet, sign out of your account, and then sign back in using your school account. Ensure that you are using the correct account associated with your school.
    2. Check for Updates: Make sure that your Microsoft 365 apps are up to date. You can check for updates in the app store on your tablet.
    3. Remove and Re-add Your Account: Go to the settings of your tablet, find the accounts section, and remove your school account. Then, add it back again to see if that resolves the issue.
    4. Clear Cache: If your tablet allows it, try clearing the cache for the Microsoft 365 apps you are using. This can sometimes resolve access issues.
    5. Contact IT Support: If the issue persists, it may be beneficial to contact your school’s IT support. They can provide specific assistance related to your account and any restrictions that may be in place.

These steps should help you regain access to your school resources on your personal tablet.
