Hi there. My son's Microsoft account has been hacked and his e-mail has been changed, and a new recovery email has been created/login app has been added, all of which are not familiar to my son, and he no longer has access to the account. How can we secure and recover his compromised account?

We tried calling Microsoft support line as we are seperate to speak with a real person, but the automated service was very unhelpful and guided us back to the online platform which requires a log in to help - which we cannot do. Is there any way to actually speak with someone?

The e-mail of his account that got hacked was <RemovedPII>@gmail.com - however, the individual who has hacked his account has now changed his e-mail on the account so he cannot secure it!

Many thanks, Mark

    Please note that this is a community forum and we do not have access to any account data or information.

    If his email address was changed by the hacker, I suggest you fill out this form https://aka.ms/recovermyaccount, which will be sent to a team specially to handle this type of issue.

    Use this guide to help you complete it;
