Hi Aleida Lawson

Thank you for reaching out to the Microsoft Q&A Forum and sharing your issue.

I understand how frustrating it can be to encounter blank pages when exporting your OneNote on your MacBook.

To better understand, could you please share the following:

  • Your macOS and OneNote app version.
  • Whether you're exporting a single page, an entire section, or the full notebook/summary.
  • If you're encountering this issue when using OneNote for the web in a browser or the desktop app.
  • If possible, you can share any error messages or screenshots.

Based on my testing and Microsoft's official guidance, export behavior may vary by platform:

In my testing on the web browser, the behavior is similar to what you've described, it results in blank pages during export. On OneNote desktop app, exporting works reliably via File > Save as PDF, and it only supports individual pages.

If you're currently using OneNote for the web, I highly recommend switching to the desktop app. Keep in mind that exporting entire sections or full notebooks as PDF isn't supported.

The issue of receiving a blank page when trying to export content from OneNote to an Apple device, such as a MacBook, could be related to several factors. Here are a few potential causes:

    1. Sync Issues: Ensure that your OneNote content is fully synced with the cloud. If the content has not been synced properly, it may not appear when you try to export it.
    2. Network Connectivity: Check your internet connection. A poor or unstable connection can affect the export process.
    3. OneNote Version: Make sure you are using the latest version of OneNote on your MacBook. Outdated software can lead to compatibility issues.
    4. Export Method: Verify that you are using the correct method to export your content. Different platforms may have specific requirements or steps for exporting.

If the problem persists, consider reaching out to Microsoft support or checking the Microsoft Community for further assistance.
