How to fix Clipchamp's Auto Captions

Hi!

I have used Clipchamp's auto caption before and it works fast and accurate enough. After a week of no activity, the auto caption takes too long to finish and it ends up with an X sign on the list. Attached is the screen shot. I tried restarting my laptop, reinstall the app, reupload media and everything in the help i saw online but it did not help. I think this issue started when the app was updated.

    I understand your Clipchamp auto captions take too long to finish and return x sign on the list according to the screen shot you provided.

    Since you have already tried several standard methods but to no avail. You should also try clearing Clipchamp cached, here is how to do it:

    • Press Win + R to open the Run dialog.
    • Type %localappdata%\Packages and press Enter.
    • Find the Clipchamp folder. It's usually named Microsoft.Clipchamp_8wekyb3d8bbwe.
    • Rename this folder to something else for example: Microsoft.Clipchamp_8wekyb3d8bbwe.OLD.
    • Restart Clipchamp. It will create a new, fresh cache folder.
    • Then you reopen Clipchamp and log in again.

    This process will reset your Clipchamp preferences, but rest assure it will not delete your projects.
