I keep getting asked to 'Re-Enter your IMAP password' in Outlook. I lose connection then the atached pop-up appears? Is this a Microsoft issue or my email provider?

    Hi @MG KIWI
Thanks for reaching out to the Microsoft Q&A forum.
I understand you're experiencing repeated prompts to "Re-enter your IMAP password" when trying to sign in to New Outlook for Mac. I know how frustrating that can be, and I’m here to help. To better understand your situation, could you please clarify the following:

    • Does the issue also occur when using the email provider's web platform or the Outlook mobile app?
    • If possible, could you share a screenshot of the issue for visual confirmation?

Before sharing, kindly ensure that any personal or sensitive information (such as your email address, organization domain name, etc.) is removed to protect your privacy and to ensure your reply is valid.

    • What is your current New Outlook version and macOS version
    • If applicable, does the issue persist when signing in with a different account from another IMAP email provider

In the meantime, here are some steps you can try:

    • Remove and re-add the account in Outlook.
    • Double-check your IMAP settings, including the correct server's name, port number, and encryption method.

Please know that while our initial response might not resolve the issue right away, your input is incredibly valuable. With a bit more detail, we’ll work together to find the best solution for you.
