If your requests to Azure Content Understanding are taking a long time, remember that the service works asynchronously, so processing time depends on the size and complexity of your document and current service load.
You can check the status of any request using the request-id from your POST call. A GET request with this id will show if it’s Running, NotStarted, or Succeeded. This helps track progress even if responses are delayed.
There isn’t an API to view all requests at once, but enabling diagnostic logging on your resource can help identify delays or patterns. Large documents, complex content, or high service load are common reasons for longer processing times.
Monitoring logs and the request status gives you a better idea of why some documents take longer and helps manage your analysis efficiently.
