How do I retrieve messages older than 12 months? I would like Outlook to display messages that are older than 12 months.

    Hi @Bill Bascom

Thank you for reaching out to Microsoft Q&A Community.

In classic outlook there are two ways to access emails older than 12 months:

    Option 1: Change Sync Settings

    • Go to File > Account Settings > Account Settings.

    User's image

    • Select your email account and click Change.
    • Adjust the "Mail to keep offline" slider to "All".

    User's image

    • Click Next, then Finish.
    • Restart Outlook.

Option 2: Use a Search Folder for Old Mail

    • In the left pane, click the arrow to open folder lists and scroll to Search Folders.

    User's image

    • Right-click it and choose New Search Folder.
    • Scroll down and select Old Mail, then click Choose.

    User's image

    • Set the age (e.g., older than 12 months), then click OK.
    • A new folder will appear showing all emails older than the selected range.

Please understand that our initial response does not always resolve the issue immediately. However, you can try workaround and share us more detailed information, we can work together to find a solution.

Thank you for your understanding and corporation. Looking forward to your response.
