What happened to my emails from Hotmail? I have been keeping them in folders for years now all of them are gone.

Can anyone explain what has happened to Hotmail? My Hotmail messages are gone and I don't know when or why this happened and how I can recover them.

Did you check your Junk or SPAM email folders to see if those emails were accidentally moved there? Open any incognito tab and sign in with your Hotmail account here - https://outlook.live.com/

Check your Junk email folder to see if those emails ended up there.

If you can't find the emails there, next check your Deleted Items folder and recover them. You can also look in the 'Recover items deleted in this folder' to restore your emails.

I was delighted to see my emails at the beginning of August2026, then, with a second login via Outlook, the new outlook address popped up and no sign of ANY old hotmails. Now, with a 3rd sign in to outlook, using my old hotmail address, I can see a designated outlook email (different again) with a series of letters and numbers presumably to indicate the old hotmail address, but nothing is in that so-called account except a bunch of draft letters in the delete box...mostly dated 2017!!! I need to talk with a PERSON about this and other information that I do not want to post here.
