Hello,

Recently, several colleagues encountered an issue related to Microsoft 365 Copilot Preview. In Poland, the letter "Ć" is commonly typed using the shortcut CTRL+ALT+C, which unfortunately conflicts with the shortcut used to launch Copilot Preview. This behavior began unexpectedly during the day, without any changes to system settings or configurations on our end. While closing Copilot does temporarily resolve the issue, it’s not a viable long-term solution for us. We’d appreciate any guidance or workaround that would allow us to continue using both functionalities without conflict.

Ć is as well AltGr + C. I disabled autostart of Copilot and that helped but probably this is not the permanent solution.

I also have this problem. Started recently and very annoying. Does anyone know how to change the key combination to something else? Thanks!

Very frustrating indeed- for me, simply closing Copilot in Task Manager helped with this issue.

I found something that seems to have worked on my end, and I'm going to write how I did it for non-computer savvy people like me:

I went into the app called "Microsoft 365 Copilot", clicked on the three dots in the bottom left (near your name) which opened another menu with 4 items. NOTE: They've been sneaky about this, as its section of the page is concealed (on my screen at least) unless the app is on full screen/maximised - so make sure to do that!

Once this three-dot, 4-item menu was found, the 4th item was "Pinning and start" - so I clicked on that. This opened a page with a subsection called "App launch", which itself had two items: "On close, keep the app running" and "Modify auto-start settings"; the first being a switch and the second being a link to another page.

First, I switched off the "On close, keep the app running" option. Then I clicked on the "Modify auto-start settings" link. This took me (funnily enough) to a page that shows all the apps that the computer automatically starts running when I switch it on ("Startup Apps"), and low and behold, 2nd from the top was "Microsoft 365 Copilot". So I switched that off.

Doing both of these seemed to work, and has continued to work. However, I've found out that all of these changes get reset/undone whenever I reopen the "Microsoft 365 Copilot" app.

So my advice would be that this solution only works permanently if you never open the app again (or are happy to make these quick settings changes every time you use it).

ADDITIONAL EDIT: They've been even more annoying about this and have set this up such that the changes do not take effect until after you restart your PC - so after doing all that - you need to restart too!

I created a new thread, didn't see this one before. What worked for me was using "PowerToys > Input / Output > Keyboard Manager > Remap a shortcut" to disable the shortcut for the WebViewHost.exe file.
