Hello,
I made my battery changed but once I checked battery report cycle count is 137 and full charge capasity 35.350mWh. I asked my technical point why I have these results with a original brand new battery (at least I paid for that) they replied me that it is impossible to reset battery report so you see your battery results as your previous battery. İs it possible? it is impossible to reset it. Or once you put a new battery it shows (battery report) new battery data? which means they put a used battery. Best Regards Bora

When a new battery is installed in a Surface device, the Windows battery report reflects the new battery’s internal data, not the old one. This includes the cycle count and full charge capacity, which are stored in the battery’s firmware. If the report shows a cycle count of 137 and a low capacity, it means the battery is used. The claim that the report shows old battery data is incorrect, it always reflects the current battery’s stats. Hope this answers your confusion.

thank you very much for your clear and prompt reply. It means that my battery report reflects serial number of actual battery which is inside of my Surface. If I share with you battery serial number is it possible to check if this battery is used for another Surface. This data will be very important for my legal process against technical point. Hello. I strongly need to learn a way about how to recalibrating the existing battery information. My battery showing not true capacity. Any solution for this? Can windows reset the firmware of a notebook battery?
