    Hi @latisha rajput,

Good day to you! Welcome to Microsoft Q&A forum.

I understand you're trying to join a school team in Microsoft Teams using a code, but the "Join a team" option isn’t appearing in your menu. Let me help clarify why this might be happening and what you can do next.

    1. Account Type Restrictions
If you're signed in with a personal Microsoft account instead of your school or organization account, you may not see the "Join a team" option. This feature is typically available only in Microsoft Teams for Education or Work accounts.
    2. Teams Configuration by Your School Admin
Your school’s IT administrator may have disabled the ability to join teams using a code. This is a setting that can be controlled at the organization level.
    3. Teams Interface Update or Bug
Occasionally, updates or interface changes may cause the menu layout to differ. If you're using the web version, try switching to the desktop app or vice versa to see if the option appears.

I'd suggest trying the following steps:

    1/ Check Your Account Type

2/ Switch to the Correct Environment

If you're in the "Communities" or "Personal" environment, click your profile picture > Switch account or organization > Select your school account. How to Switch Between Multiple Organizations in Microsoft Teams | Microsoft Community Hub

3/ Use a Direct Link Instead of a Code

Ask your teacher to send you a direct link to the team instead of a code. They can do this by:

    • Clicking the three dots next to the team name.
    • Selecting Get link to team.
    • Sharing that link with you.

Create a link or a code for joining a team in Microsoft Teams - Microsoft Support

4/ Contact Your School’s IT Support

If the issue still persists, I highly recommend contacting your school’s IT administrator, as they may need to enable the feature for your account or organization.

Please let us know if you need further clarification or assistance. I really appreciate your patience and look forward to assisting you further.

We hope you have a great day!
