OneDrive not unfreezing after 24 hours

An old account that hasn't been used lately is experiencing issues with OneDrive. The instructions indicate that the account should unfreeze after 24 hours, but it remains frozen. The same username was used a few years ago, and it is still not unfrozen.

    Hi Gabriella,

    Thank you for posting your question in the Microsoft Community. Sorry for the inconvenience. Possible reason why your OneDrive account got frozen is because you have exceeded your storage allowance and/or haven't signed in for a long time.

    If your OneDrive still Freeze please check your OneDrive online to check if your OneDrive still not frozen.

    Open any browsers

    go to https://onedrive.live.com

    log in using your Microsoft account

    check if your account still not frozen

    if still doesn't work follow step below

    try this steps to help you Unfreeze your OneDrive account.

    Using OneDrive Application

    Unlink and Relink your OneDrive on Windows

    Right-click the OneDrive cloud icon in the system tray (bottom-right corner) near the date and time.

    Click Settings

    Account TAB > Click Unlink this PC

    confirmed Unlinked of account.

    Open OneDrive

    Press Start Menu > type "OneDrive"

    press Enter

    Sign in using Microsoft Account

    Choose again OneDrive Default folder

    Next > then your Account will be linked again to OneDrive.

    if still doesn't resolve follow step below

    Reset OneDrive application on Windows

    Go to Start > Settings > Apps > Installed Apps

    search for OneDrive > click 3 dots > Click Modify or Advance option

    Under Reset

    click Repair, Reset

    restart your Device

    if still doesn't resolve follow step below

    Try to reinstall your OneDrive application

    then restart your device check again the status of your OneDrive.
