How to open Auto CAD files which are in SharePoint document library with a desktop app? There is a web version available on SharePoint but I am looking to see if there is any way we can open the Auto CAD files in a desktop app.

Apart from the above suggestion to use download, edit, save and upload you may also want to consider using the OneDrive for Business client.

    Hi @Srikanth ,

As far as I know, currently only the office files are supported to be opened in desktop app directly from SharePoint. We can not open Auto CAD files(.dwg) in a in a desktop app directly from SharePoint.

Here are two options for you:

1.open Auto CAD files in web app, then open it in Desktop
2.download the file to local then open it.
