Visio 2016 Right Angle Connector changing to a Straight Line on it's own.

I have been adding to a large diagram for awhile without issues but suddenly when I add a connector point to a shape and draw a Right Angle connector between that point and a point on another shape it switches from the Right Angle to a Straight Line connector. How do I stop this?

    Dear Marlena Lou,

Greetings. Thank you for posting the thread in our community.

Based on your description, as our category is primarily focused on installing and activating Microsoft 365 for Business subscription products, and your issue concerns Visio 2016 right angle connector which is changing to a straight line on its own. Because of this situation, to help you get more dedicated support and avoid misunderstandings, I sincerely recommend you ask the question in Visio Management - Microsoft Q&A, it is the specific channel that handles these types of requests, members and experts are professional and will help you further. When asking a question, please make sure to use the Visio Managementtag.

Please excuse me for directing you to another community as the members in the published category focus on the users with out-of-the-box concerns with Microsoft 365 and Visio 2016 is a bit different compared to Visio for 365 due to their version and product design to get fast and better support. We have redirected you to the right path.

Thank you for your patience and understanding.

I wish you a nice day and all the best! 😊

    Sincerely,

    Ralph | Microsoft Community Moderator
