When I send an email to Onenote, if the email has images, it will not appear in Onenote.

I can send emails to Onenote generally with no problem. But if the email has images somewhere (maybe way down in the thread) the email most likely will not appear in Onenote. No errors, no knocked-back emails. I have tried this many times. Once I saw the page heading start to sync in desktop Onenote, but then it disappeared. So the email is getting through, but then the page gets dropped by Onenote soon after it arrives.

I use multiple work accounts and it happens to all of them. Happens if I email from my laptop or my phone. Happens with Old Outlook and New Outlook.

I have to either delete the images before sending or use the send to outlook button in the old Outlook. Problem is if I forget, or don't know. Then I don't know it has not gone through and it drops off my radar.

Emails without images work fine.

My OneNote Version is 2412 (Build 18324.20092)

    I've noticed that it works fine when you use the web side app, and other users have had this problem as well. Since I can't reproduce the same problem here, I think it might be a specific tenant experiencing an application issue.

    If you want to further investigate this phenomenon and fix the issue, you may need to contact Microsoft Support, who can assist you in collecting activity logs for your OutLook and OneDrive applications so you can further identify the cause of this phenomenon and fix the issue. I am sorry that I do not have enough permissions and resources to directly assist you in this step.

    In this situation, I am sorry and recommend you to connect with the related development team where they can check the internal sources and investigate the issue further.

    So, I request you to connect with your IT admin of your organization (How do I find my Microsoft 365 admin? - Microsoft Support) and ask them to raise a new service request from the Microsoft 365 admin center so that the related development team will connect with you and investigate the issue further.

    It works when i use Web , but it is not working when i use Outlook app.

    I tried clean boot, but it was same even if i restart my pc.

    It was working before i change my laptop but on my new windows 11 device is fails. It was working on my previos laptop on Windows 10.

    I have never had such a kind of issue on Windows 10. Yes my colleagues also having same issue.

    I used the latest version of the application here to do a test, I can send an email with pictures to the OneNote application, you can refer to my screenshot:

    Therefore, in order to further investigate whether this problem is related to the application, I would like to ask you to try to use the Outlook web application to send emails to OneNote through the browser to see whether it can be displayed:

    If the web app works, try performing a clean boot in Windows determine whether a background program is interfering with your Office application.
