Does my employer have access to local files in Word?

I noticed on my phone that I am logged into my work account in Word. Does my employer have access to my private files (labeled as "This device" in Word)? I haven’t shared my files via OneDrive or SharePoint, but I’m concerned that someone at work might have some sort of access to them.

I realized I was logged into my work account after downloading a .docx file, and Word prompted me to assign a label to the file (public, internal, confidential, etc.)—this was recently implemented in my company. Do files categorized under "This device" (e.g., "This device" -> "storage" -> "download") remain invisible to my work environment?

But I'm talking about an android phone. Also, I checked in OneDrive and nothing was transferred.

As for the laptop, as long as I don't share files to OneDrive, nothing automatically transfers, so I think you're wrong.

If a PC/Mac if you installed o365 from your employer all docs would have been uploaded to OneDrive
