I am trying to save a copy of my query in Microsoft Access but it won't save. Please help.

When I try to save a copy of my query in Microsoft Access, I press File, Save As, Save Object As, rename the file, and save it. I expect the query to save and show up in the Navigation pane but it will not. Only the original query shows up in the navigation pane and the copy of the query is nowhere to be found. Can somebody help with this?

Thanks! I just tried to do the same thing using two different versions.

It worked on this one: Microsoft Access 2016 (16.0.5417.1000) MSO (16.0.5413.1000)

But failed on this one: Microsoft Access 2016 MSO (Version 2309 Build 16.0.16827.20166) Current Channel

So, I might suspect it's a possible bug.

Have you tried to right click on the Query - Copy - in the Nav panel -right click Paste. It should pop-up a dialog to Rename the Query.
