Can MS Teams Parent accounts be created by the school instead of invite

As a school based in germany we are very excited have access to the MS Teams Parent Preview. After a day or two of tinkering we are left with following questions...1. Is it possible to let us - the school - create parent accounts with teams access instead of sending an invite via email or sms? We know that most of the parents don't have a teams or microsoft account. This makes their onboarding a bit more complicated, but complicated enough that most won't even bother to try.Since new Students receive handouts with all their accounts and starter passwords it would be easy for us to add the parent account to that list as wellThe second question is somewhat in conflict with the first. But is it possible to set up the teacher-parent communication as 'one-way' so that the teachers can send messages to the parent but not vice versa? There is an Option 'Don't allow external users with accounts not controlled by another organization...' but the testing has shown that this only prohibits the parent from starting new chats, but once a chat is started the can also reply to announcements. Also we were able to accept the invitation using a work account from another organisation - the chat restrictions didn't seem to apply to this user at all.I know the feature is still in preview but maybe some of it is on the road map already.thanks for your time

    Hello f0rmtief

We warmly welcome you to Microsoft community.

Yes, you can configure communication to be one-way from teachers to parents. Kindly implement the following steps.

1.Click on the three dots next to the General channel.

    2.Select Manage channel.

3.Choose the option “Only owners can post messages”.

4.By doing this, only you (the owner) will be able to post messages in the General channel of the team, ensuring one-way communication.

Please understand that our initial response may not always resolve the issue immediately. However, with your help and more detailed information, we can work together to find a solution.

Please feel free to keep us updated on the issue.

    Sincerely,

    Bertrand
