I cannot get the equation feature on my windows 10 downloaded Whiteboard app. Do I have to have a subscription to get this? What other features am I not getting? I would like to try this out for educational/tutoring -- it looks great for that purpose.

At about 3 minutes into the video, there is a discussion of the equation editor. I know about and greatly admire this feature in OneNote and do not have the Hub software.

I guess I will stop trying to figure out how to get it into MS Whiteboard and hope it will be inserted at some point in the future. I have tested collaborative software for months now and I think the simplicity and versatility of MS Whiteboard is extraordinary. I look forward to extending its use to kids I tutor in the near future. I still have to get them some pcs.

Hi Anna,

There isn't an equation feature and a graph feature neither in the Microsoft Whiteboard Preview.

These features is avaliable in hubwhiteboard and Microsoft Surface hub.

All accounts will get the same result no matter Office 365 or not.

(school account, work account and personal account).

What you saw should be Whiteboard app on Surface Hub actually, not Whiteboard (Preview).

Whiteboard (Preview) is a new app that will eventually replace the existing Whiteboard app on Surface Hub. In the meantime, you can install the new Preview version alongside the existing app.

Hi Anna,

No, it is not an Office 365 acct. It is a plain Jane ms account. I am planning to get one or several Office 365 accts and pc's in order to tutor students remotely. I would like to test the full functionality of the Preview version of MS Whiteboard. What I see now is shown in the attached; there are no graph icons, nor are there any if I hit the cog wheel (see below). When I get an Office 365 will I have full functionality or should I have it now in the Preview edition? Thx for your help.?

May I know what type of account are you using, is it Office 365 account?

Microsoft Whiteboard preview is a free apps, if you have an account (Microsoft or Office 365 account) to sign in, you can open images in it, use Ink to Shape feature, and so on: https://support.office.com/en-us/article/Microsoft-Whiteboard-Preview-Help-d236aef8-fcdf-4b5e-b5d7-7f157461e920?ui=en-US&rs=en-US&ad=US.

The video in above link is about hubwhiteboard and Microsoft Surface hub, for app’s equation and graph feature, since we focus on Office 365 for business service, and I haven't found any relevant official document, you may submit feedback via whiteboard->Send Feedback:

Thx for the rapid response. I have downloaded the app. I see on Internet videos that there is an equation feature and a graph feature, but I do not have the icons for this functionality. Nor does my table function seem to work. Must I have a subscription to get these functionalities, or perhaps I am doing something wrong.
