I cannot get the equation feature on my windows 10 downloaded Whiteboard app.  Do I have to have a subscription to get this?  What other features am I not getting?  I would like to try this out for educational/tutoring -- it looks great for that purpose.

Thx for any help,

Thanks for the reply.  The first video item on a google search for Microsoft Whiteboard review is

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rRA7HFk5a5w

At about 3 minutes into the video, there is a discussion of the equation editor.  I know about and greatly admire this feature in OneNote and do not have the Hub software.

I guess I will stop trying to figure out how to get it into MS Whiteboard and hope it will be inserted at some point in the future.  I have tested collaborative software for months now and I think the simplicity and versatility of MS Whiteboard is extraordinary.  I look forward to extending its use to kids I tutor in the near future.  I still have to get them some pcs.

Thanks again,

-p

    Hi Anna,

There isn't an equation feature and a graph feature neither in the Microsoft Whiteboard Preview.

These features is avaliable in hubwhiteboard and Microsoft Surface hub.

All accounts will get the same result no matter Office 365 or not.

(school account, work account and personal account).

What you saw should be Whiteboard app on Surface Hub actually, not Whiteboard (Preview).

Here is an artilce for your reference which may hel you understand this difference.

Is Whiteboard (Preview) the same app as Whiteboard on Surface Hub?

Whiteboard (Preview) is a new app that will eventually replace the existing Whiteboard app on Surface Hub. In the meantime, you can install the new Preview version alongside the existing app.

If you have any further questions at this tme, please feel free to contact me and privide the video link you saw since you say "see on Internet videos that there is an equation feature and a graph feature".

    Regards,

    Jerry
