My account was renewed on April 21, 2025. My accoiunt allows me to share Microsoft 365 with 5 people. I sent a share request to my wife. She accepted it and I received a notice that she accepted it and on my account it says I have 4 shares left. She is trying to save an Excel spread sheet on her Mac computer and she get a notice "subscription needed to edit or save".....based upon the documentation I have she should have a subscription based upon her acceptane of my sharing request.

Did your wife follow the instructions at https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/someone-invited-you-to-share-their-microsoft-365-family-subscription-6a6c098e-1934-4436-9a94-69c92590da5b ? She will have to use her account to install and activate Office on her Mac.
