Windows 10 : How to use Client Remote Desktop on windows 10 connect to server via different default port
Hi all,
I have upgraded successfully Windows 10 Pro . So I have used Remote desktop client on previous Windows OS Windows 7 to Windows server 192.168.1.2 via different default port : 60213 . On Client Remote Desktop, Computer is 192.168.1.2:60213
However, on Windows 10, I can't use Remote Desktop client to connect my server 192.168.1.2 via port 60123. I get the message windows " This computer can't connect to the remote desktop server. Please contact the owner of remote computer or network administrator"
Please help me to use Client Remote Desktop on windows 10 connect to server via different default port.
Thank in advanced for all your helps!

PS - Sorry for putting this in the wrong topic, I tried to put it in Updates and Recovery, but it keeps telling me to "Please select from the drop down fields" when I don't see a fourth drop down box anywhere. Tried in Chrome, Firefox and IE. Sorry again!

I did a little test and it worked here after I opened the Firewall to allow the port traffic, is this still a problem for you?
There is a problem with the Remote WEB Workplace with Server 2008 that I found a work around for.

2015-10-01T01:30:12+00:00 I love Windows 10. So far 10 has been great. I have old hardware and new hardware and did not need any need for my own drivers. Not even for my printers but my mouse is freaking out; I went from 7 to 10 so I can't comment on 8.1 Make sure that your stock firewall settings didn't change. Also your router may have been on PNP Plug and Play and lost its settings or they changed and you need to open your router and refresh PNP. It might help if you assign a static ip address also. Sorry I can't be more helpful. All I can say, with 10 is it looks like MS tried to make the OS appear more simplified than it is and actually made it complex. To many advertisements and way to many icons or pictures splashed all over the screen. That are mostly web links and programs.
Its much harder to find a program. one has to scroll up and down to attempt to find a program.
When Google steps in and sends you to google play it becomes very confusing because most of the apps it presents are Android. I downloaded something that popped up and I could not find it.
Win 7, 8x, and 10 are all what was once called NT. The average computer user has no business digging down through program options where you use snap ins etc. ME was laid out much better than anything Ive seen Windows use.
I like to use Linux Ubuntu version called Mint 17 (based on Ubuntu) nearly everything is free open source. Its easy to install (at least it coexist with 7 very well) for I love to dual boot. Windows seems to nearly always slow down after a year or so when Mint 17 (Linux) speed is as fast loading say Open Office (Like MS Office but free). Yes Windows 10 seems like a nice hardware friendly interesting OS I wish I could help you with your issue.

Just checked that out. Cheap for a large business at £312 a year for a single computer license.
OK if your not for profit club can afford it.
