new azure account, phone app error

Hi All,
I just setup a trial account on Azure and was hoping the phone app would work out of the box. I am getting this error on the phone:
Error setting up push notifications. The subscription is not registered to use namespace 'microsoft.insights'. See https://aka.ms/rps-not-found for how to register subscriptions.
Well, after searching for 30 minutes I still haven't found a solution. Feeling like Azure may be too complicated for my use....
