@Vincent Chung Khui Pin, Thanks for posting in Q&A. In Microsoft Entra admin center, please check if “Users may join devices to Azure AD" is set to All.

    https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/entra/identity/devices/device-join-plan#users-might-join-devices-to-microsoft-entra-id

Meanwhile, you can check if any error code exists when you do Microsoft Entra join. Then we can search the error code to get more finding. In addition, I have added "Microsoft Entra ID" and "Microsoft Entra" tags which can help on Microsoft Entra join issue to see if you can get more suggestion on it.

    Hello @Vincent Chung Khui Pin,

Thank you for posting your query on Microsoft Q&A.

Based on your description, I understand that when trying to join your device to Microsoft Entra ID by navigating to Settings > Accounts > Access Work or School > Connect > Join this device to Microsoft Entra ID, you receive an error message stating, "Something went wrong. Try again, or select Cancel to set up your device later." (Please see the attached screenshot for reference.)

This error typically occurs when authentication attempts to enroll the device through Intune, but fails. This could be due to a licensing issue or a misconfiguration in the MDM/MAM enrollment policies.

To resolve this issue, I recommend the following steps:

Check Intune License Assignment: Ensure that the affected users have been assigned an Intune license. If not, assign the license and try again.

Verify MDM User Scope URLs: If the license is assigned but the error persists, verify the MDM user scope URLs. If the URLs are invalid, you can restore the default MDM URLs.

User's imageNote: Ensure that the user is included in the MDM user scope.

Disabling Intune Enrollment (Optional): If you do not wish to enroll these devices via Intune, change the MDM User Scope to "None" for both MDM and WIP.

If you're still experiencing issues, feel free to send me an email at [email protected] with the subject line "ATTN: Pothurajur" and include a link to this thread for further assistance.

    Thanks,
    Raja Pothuraju.
