The storage pool is running out of capacity. The configurable threshold is set to 80% currently.

cant see where we can free up space for the storage pool, can anyone shed any light on this?

5 volumes are all under 76% storage usage - cleared some space yesterday

Our SSD Storage has 7.2TB Used, and 82gb available, im assuming this is the issue, though unsure on how to clear this down?

Our HDD Storage used is 13.3TB, with 3.12TB available so that should be ok

    Hello @Simon Gibson

SSD storage pool for your azure stack HCI is running out of capacity. The configurable threshold is set to 80%, which means that you are approaching the maximum capacity of the storage pool.

I see you have taken some action to free up space for the storage pool, you can try the following steps:

    1. Identify any unnecessary files or data that can be deleted or moved to another storage location. This can include temporary files, log files, or old backups from the workloads that are built on top of your azure stack deployment
    2. Check if there are any snapshots or backups created for the workloads which is consuming the space and that can be deleted to free up space.
    3. Consider adding additional storage capacity to the SSD storage pool. You can add more disks to the storage pool or expand the existing disks to increase the storage capacity.
    4. Consider moving some of the data to the HDD storage pool if it is not frequently accessed or does not require high performance.

It is important to note that adding additional storage capacity or expanding existing disks may require downtime or disruption to your services. Therefore, it is recommended to plan and schedule these changes during a maintenance window.

I hope this helps you resolve the issue you are facing with the storage pool running out of capacity.

    Hi

managed to clear some snapshots from a VM that had built up 2tb though our SSD Disks are still showing very full

How do we go about moving some of the data to the HDD storage pool from SSD? Or what is the best way to clean up both HDD and SSD?

i want to get our recommended reserve back in line on both SSD and HDD
