Sales Order Agent
APPLIES TO: Business Central online
Sales Order Agent is available as a production-ready preview in more countries and regions, including Australia (AU), Canada (CA), Great Britain (GB), New Zealand (NZ), and the United States (US).
The Sales Order Agent automates sales order processing from customer emails using AI. It identifies customers, clarifies details via email, checks item availability, creates quotes and orders, and generates PDF documents. All interactions are tracked in Business Central, keeping users informed and enabling involvement when necessary. This update introduces billing for the agent. Charges are based on Microsoft Copilot Studio messages used for AI interactions and tasks. Learn more in Manage consumption-based billing for agent capabilities.

Autofill fields

Autofill with Copilot suggests values for editable fields on card and document pages based on your Business Central data, like frequently used values, recently used values, or AI-generated options. You can choose to keep or discard these suggestions. Learn more in Autofill fields with Copilot.
Summarize records
APPLIES TO: Business Central online
Summarize with Copilot generates a concise summary of a record, such as a customer, item, or sales order, directly in the page's FactBox pane. Summaries are tailored to your role in Business Central, providing insight into data on the page and related pages and drawing attention to important information. Sustainability Scope 3 value chain tracking
Scope 3 value chain processing automation is embedded in standard ERP processes. This feature calculates the carbon dioxide equivalent for finished goods, giving you the figures you need to report indirect emissions data across your upstream and downstream value chain. This section outlines changes to feature and feature updates controlled by Feature management in version 26.0.
Features now mandatory and removed from feature management
- Feature Update: Enable use of new extensible exchange rate adjustment, including posting review
- Feature Update: Enable use of new extensible invoice posting engine
- Feature Update: Replace the existing EU 3-Party Trade Purchase functionality with the new EU 3-Party Trade Purchase extension
- Feature: Enable legacy locking scheme in AL
- Feature: Enable using bulk operations for Shopify connector
Features delayed from becoming mandatory in update 26.0

Select and download the package for the appropriate country or region version from Microsoft Support.
Upgrade to 26.0 for online customers
New customers get Business Central version 26.0 automatically. With the 26.0 release, the Manage environment updates more flexibly feature is generally available for environments using version 25.5 or higher. This feature lets you reschedule the major update to any date within the 5-month update period, which ends on August 31, 2025, for version 26.0. The option to set the target version for an environment's next update in the admin center is available by the end of April 2025.
