Deployment Guide for Finance agents (preview)

This article explains how to deploy Finance agents and the Add-in for Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Excel. Either a business user or a tenant administrator can install Finance agents Add-ins.

When installed by the tenant administrator, the public preview license entitles the tenant to use of Finance agents. This license includes sufficient Dataverse capacity to support the public preview use.

Prerequisites

Versions & Licenses

  • Microsoft Copilot Studio
  • Microsoft 365
    • Microsoft 365 E3 or E5 license
    • For Desktop use: Microsoft Office 2016 or later
    • For Online use:
      • Microsoft 365 online
      • Compatible Browsers: Chromium-based browser version 120 or later
  • Optional Connected ERP Requirements for integration with Finance agents in Microsoft 365 Outlook
    • Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance: version 10.0.38 (build 10.0.1777.80 or later)
    • Dynamics 365 Business Central Online, latest update (24.3)
    • SAP R3, SAP ECC, SAP S/4 HANA

User Requirements

Infrastructure & Environment

  • A Dataverse enabled environment in the Power Platform Admin Center Create Dataverse environment
  • Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance integration (for use with Finance agents in Microsoft 365 Outlook) requires:
    • A Tier 2+ Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations environment
    • A Power Platform enabled environment. For more information, see Enable Power Platform Integration.
    • Users accessing Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance are required to be in the same tenant as the selected environment

Deploy Finance agents

To deploy Finance agents, follow these steps.

Financial Reconciliation Agent

This table explains the steps required to deploy and configure Financial Reconciliation agent and the Add-in for Microsoft Excel by a tenant administrator.

Step Description
Create a new Dataverse environment Create and manage environments in the Power Platform admin center
Create a billing subscription Set up pay-as-you-go billing for an environment and link your Azure subscription
Install Finance Agents from Copilot Studio Set up the Finance Agent solution to use the autonomous agent and reconciliation templates in addition to the autonomous agent experience
Install Finance Agents from Power Platform Admin Center Set up the Finance Agent solution and templates to utilize the assistive agent experience from the Excel add-in
Add users to the Dataverse Environment Follow the steps outlined to enable the user sign-on to Dataverse experience
Install the Microsoft 365 Excel add-in by business users Install the Finance agents Add-in for Microsoft 365 Excel add-in from AppSource
Install the Microsoft 365 Excel add-in by admin Install the Finance agents Add-in for Microsoft 365 Excel add-in from the Microsoft 365 Admin Center

Collections in Outlook

This table explains the steps required to deploy and configure the collections in Outlook agent and the Add-in for Microsoft Outlook by a tenant administrator.

Step Description
Create a new Dataverse environment Create and manage environments in the Power Platform admin center.
Install Finance Agents from Power Platform Admin Center Set up the Finance Agent solution to enable the Outlook integration.
