Hi! Sorry to hear that you have troubles with this situation, please try this steps:
- Open Command Prompt (as Administrator) and run: ipconfig /flushdns netsh winsock reset netsh int ip reset
- Delete everything inside: C:\Users<YourUser>\AppData\Local\EpicGamesLauncher\Saved
- Then restart your PC.
If doesn't work, please try using a different connection, instead of using the Ethernet port, try using WiFi on the PC if possible, if not, you could try to use a mobile device as a USB modem to try the download just to see if is faster, not to download all.
Epic uses multiple background processes (like EpicWebHelper.exe). On desktops with stricter security software, these can be blocked. Check if your antivirus/firewall has blocked Epic. Try temporarily disabling them and retrying.
If your PC has proxy settings (even left over from a VPN), Epic may fail.
- Go to Settings > Network & Internet > Proxy and disable everything under “Manual proxy setup.”
- If you use a VPN, test with it ON/OFF.
