Ridurre spazio occupato archiviando email (non funziona)

Cara Community,

Grazie mille.

Alberto

    Hi, Alberto

    Good day!

Thank you for posting to Microsoft Community. We are glad to assist you!

According to your description, I understand how frustrating it can be when your email account is almost full and traditional methods aren't working.

First of all, before we troubleshoot this issue, would you please allow us to collect some detailed information as below:

    • Are you using a Microsoft 365 business account(******@xxx.onmicrosoft.com/******@yourdomain.com) or a personal account (ending in outlook.com/hotmail.com/live.com/msn.com) or another third-party POP/IMAP account?
    • What's your detailed desktop client version that you're using - Qual è la versione di Outlook in uso? - Supporto tecnico Microsoft.

**If you're using an Office 365 for business/education account,**here's a step-by-step guide to help you save your emails in a .pst file and permanently delete older emails:

Export Emails to a .pst File

    1. Open Outlook and go to the File tab.
    2. Select Open & Export > Import/Export.
    3. Choose Export to a file and click Next.
    4. Select Outlook Data File (.pst) and click Next.
    5. Choose the email account you want to export. Make sure to include subfolders.
    6. Click Next and choose a location to save the .pst file.
    7. Click Finish. You can set a password for the .pst file if you want.

Permanently Delete Emails Older Than a Year

    1. Open Outlook and go to the File tab.
    2. Select Options > Advanced.
    3. Under AutoArchive, click AutoArchive Settings.
    4. Set the options to archive items older than 12 months and choose to permanently delete old items.
    5. Click OK to apply the settings.

Alternatively, you can manually delete older emails:

    1. Use the search bar in Outlook to find emails older than a year by typing .received:<01/01/2024
    2. Select all the emails that appear in the search results.
    3. Right-click and choose Delete.

Note: Please understand that our initial reply may not always immediately resolve the issue. However, with your help and more detailed information, we can work together to find a solution.

Please feel free to share it with us and we will stick with you.

Hope you all the best and looking forward to your new updates!
