IMFMediaEngineClassFactoryEx::CreateMediaSourceExtension method (mfmediaengine.h)

Creates an instance of IMFMediaSourceExtension.

Syntax

HRESULT CreateMediaSourceExtension(
  [in]  DWORD                   dwFlags,
  [in]  IMFAttributes           *pAttr,
  [out] IMFMediaSourceExtension **ppMSE
);

Parameters

[in] dwFlags

This parameter is reserved and must be set to 0.

[in] pAttr

This method supports the following Media Foundation attributes:

• MF_MSE_CALLBACK
• MF_MSE_BUFFERLIST_CALLBACK
• MF_MSE_ACTIVELIST_CALLBACK

[out] ppMSE

The IMFMediaSourceExtension which was created.

Return value

If this method succeeds, it returns S_OK. Otherwise, it returns an HRESULT error code.
