Important
Identifiable export is for public preview customers only. Features in preview might not be complete and could undergo changes before becoming available in the broader release. This preview feature allows personal data processing. See the "Previews" section of the Microsoft Products and Services Data Protection Addendum for more information.
You can export row-level Agent 365 metrics, agent metadata, and person metadata from the Agent Dashboard. You can export day-level or week-level data. If your administrator has enabled identifiable export for you, the export also includes identifiable fields.
The export is a point-in-time snapshot generated at the time of request and delivered as a .zip package containing multiple .csv files. With this data, you can create custom reports and analyze agent adoption, engagement, retention, and usage across your organization.
Agent Dashboard views
The Agent Dashboard includes two views: Copilot Agent Dashboard and Agent 365 Dashboard. The All agents toggle at the top right controls the dashboard view.
All agents on: Enables the Agent 365 Dashboard view and displays Agent 365 data for all supported agents available to your organization, including the Copilot agents shown when the toggle is off.
All agents off: Enables the Copilot Dashboard view and displays Agent data scoped to agents used in Microsoft 365 Copilot.
Important
You can only export data from within the Agent 365 Dashboard view. Keep the All agents toggle on to export Agent 365 data.
What you can do with the export
- Understand which agents are being used across your organization
- Analyze agent adoption and engagement over time
- Identify highly used and underused agents
- Measure returning usage and agent sessions
- Connect agent activity with organizational or business data when identifiable export is enabled
- Support agent portfolio management, adoption programs, and custom reporting
Prerequisites
Tenant eligibility: Your tenant must have at least 50 Microsoft 365 Copilot licenses, at least one Agent 365 license, and at least one active agent.
Access requirement: You must have access to the Agent Dashboard and exportable data. This includes:
- Senior leaders and their delegates
- Global Viva Insights Analysts
- Microsoft 365 Global Administrators
- Viva Insights AI Administrators
Note
Users with non-global access, such as group managers with team-level views, cannot export data.
Admin management
There are two ways the global and AI admins can control the Agent 365 export experience through Viva Feature Access Management (VFAM) in the Microsoft 365 admin center:
Export on/off: The export feature is on by default for eligible tenants and users. The "AgentMetricsExport" VFAM control also governs Agent 365 export.
Identifiability on/off: Identifiable export is controlled with the "IdentifiableExport" VFAM setting and is off by default.
Exports honor applicable admin exclusion policies. Agents or users excluded from reporting do not appear in the corresponding export output.
Key differences between day-level and week-level exports

| Data freshness | Up to 2 days ago | Up to 6 days to account for the last complete week |
| Granularity | One row per user, agent, and day | One row per user, agent, and week |
| Week alignment | Not applicable | Complete weeks only |
| When to use | Recent activity, operational monitoring, and short-term usage patterns | Adoption, retention, and longer-term trend analysis |
How to export data
In the Viva Insights web app, select Agent Dashboard on the left.
At the top right, select All agents to view and export Agent 365 data.
At the top right, select the Export data icon.
Select Export by week for week-level data or Export by day for day-level data.
If identifiable export is enabled, an "Includes user identifiers" label appears below the options.
Select Export to CSV to start the export.
When processing is complete, select Previous exports at the top of the window. Then select Download.
Your file download starts.
If an export fails, it appears under Previous exports with a failed status. To retry, re-create the export.
Note
The export is generated on demand and can take up to 30 minutes. You can leave the page while it's being prepared. Select Previous exports to check its status and download it when it's ready.
Export output
Each export is delivered as a .zip package containing multiple .csv files. The package includes agent metadata and user-agent interaction metrics. De-identified output also includes the applicable people metadata used to connect protected user identifiers to available organizational attributes.
The final file set for identifiable output is different because direct user identifiers replace protected identifiers. The PeopleMetadata file also isn't included in identified exports.

Frequently asked questions
Q1. Why don't Agent IDs in this export match the Agent IDs in the Microsoft 365 admin center export?
Agent IDs in the Microsoft 365 admin center export and Agent Dashboard export won't often match because the two exports use different identifier systems. Don't use these fields as a direct cross-export join key unless Microsoft provides a supported mapping.
Q2. Can my organization limit who can export data from the Agent Dashboard?
Yes. Global admins and AI admins can enable or disable export for the tenant, groups, or individual users through VFAM in the Microsoft 365 admin center. Allow up to 24 hours for changes to appear in the web app.
Q3. Why can I see the Agent Dashboard but not the export option?
Export is available only to eligible users with global dashboard access. See the prerequisites. Your admin might also have disabled export for your tenant, group, or account. Contact your Microsoft 365 administrator if you believe you should have access.
Q4. Why don't I see the option to export identifiable data?
Identifiable export is controlled separately and is off by default. The option appears only when your administrator has enabled it for you and you have an eligible role. If the option doesn't appear, your export uses protected user identifiers. Contact your Microsoft 365 administrator for information about your organization's policy.
Q5. What's the difference between identifiable and de-identified output?
De-identified output replaces direct user identifiers with protected identifiers. Identifiable output includes Microsoft Entra user identifiers for authorized analysis. The exact columns and supporting metadata can differ between the two outputs. Use identifiable data only for approved business purposes and according to your organization's privacy and data-handling policies.
Q6. Why might the export not match the Agent Dashboard?
The dashboard and export can cover different time ranges. Week-level exports use completed weeks only, while the dashboard can include a partial current week. Day-level exports and the dashboard can also be different because of their refresh schedules and the date on which the export was generated.
