This module teaches you how to enhance your agent with Copilot Studio by integrating external data, selecting intent recognition models, enabling Generative AI orchestration, and allowing the agent to use its own general knowledge. Knowledge source integrations allow the agent to access and utilize external and internal data, enriching its responses with relevant and up-to-date information. Intent recognition models help the agent understand user goals, while Generative AI orchestration dynamically determines responses based on user input, making the agent more versatile and effective.

Microsoft Copilot Studio connects with Power Automate, and it can pass the variables from user's responses and retrieve data from several different data sources, perform complex operations on that data, and then return to Microsoft Copilot Studio to share that data with the user. The ability to operate on and retrieve data from almost any data source that’s accessible through an API is one of the most valuable benefits of Microsoft Copilot Studio.
