The Harlem CODEtrotters curriculum is an engaging and interactive educational program designed to introduce students to the world of coding through the exciting lens of the Harlem Globetrotters.

Code and Play

This curriculum combines the thrill of basketball with the fundamentals of coding, using Microsoft MakeCode to create a unique learning experience. Students design their own trivia-based games, incorporating fascinating facts about the Globetrotters and their history. By learning the basics of Computer Science such as conditions, functions, and conditional statements, students develop essential coding skills while exploring the legacy of the Globetrotters. The curriculum also emphasizes important values such as sportsmanship, innovation, and community service, inspiring students to excel both on and off the court.
