Exceptions
Exception | Condition |
---|---|
ArgumentNullException | The name argument is nulla null reference (Nothing in Visual Basic) or has zero length. |
ControlNameAlreadyExistsException | A control with the same name is already in the ControlCollection instance. |

The AddCheckBox method enables you to add CheckBox objects to the end of the ControlCollection. To remove a CheckBox control that was previously added programmatically, use the Remove method.
Examples
The following code example adds a CheckBox control to the top of the worksheet, and then adds text to the check box. To use this example, run it from the Sheet1 class in a document-level project.
Private Sub ExcelAddCheckBox()
Dim CheckBox1 As Microsoft.Office.Tools.Excel. _
Controls.CheckBox = Me.Controls.AddCheckBox( _
0, 0, 78, 18, "CheckBox1")
CheckBox1.Text = "Underline"
End Sub
private void ExcelAddCheckBox()
{
Microsoft.Office.Tools.Excel.Controls.CheckBox checkBox1 =
this.Controls.AddCheckBox(0, 0, 78, 18, "checkBox1");
checkBox1.Text = "Underline";
}
