This article describes the new features, improvements and fixes to existing functionality that are included in this build.
Installer version 2.67.143.26090 - Microsoft Store version 11.2604.143.0 updates
New features
Desktop flows now support webhook-based connector runs, enabling flows to pause and wait for a webhook event - such as an approval response - before continuing. When a flow is awaiting a webhook callback, a status indicator is now shown in the flow designer, console, and run log action details in the Power Automate portal.
In addition, the connectors ‘Microsoft Copilot Studio’ and ‘Standard approvals’ that have been enabled by the above functionality have now been added to the preloaded actions list, replacing the ‘OneDrive’ and ‘RSS’ connectors, which are still available through the Assets Library.
Enhancements & Improvements
The Power Automate troubleshooter has now been enhanced to include RDP local policy checks in the ‘connectivity issues for cloud runtime’ diagnostics, allowing you to test session opening and closing and identify known configuration issues affecting unattended runs.
Support for window not found errors has now been added to the Self-healing feature in addition to missing element errors, enabling automatic recovery when a target window cannot be located during flow execution.
When changes are made to a flow in the designer, an unsaved version is now created, and the previously active published version is no longer treated as the current working state.
Version control is now also supported for test flows.
Static analysis now detects unreachable code following 'Throw custom error' actions, providing more accurate flow validation.
When creating a new test flow, a 'Test a desktop flow' action is now automatically added from a predefined template. The testing action group is also now displayed at the top of the actions pane for quicker access.
An instant check option has now been added to ‘If window’ actions, enabling a single, immediate window status check without waiting or retrying.
The proper message is now displayed in a tooltip for unpublished flows in the console, to indicate the reason why the flow can’t run.
A more appropriate error message is now shown when a browser exits unexpectedly during web automation, including the exit code and reason for the exit.
Repaired functionality
The following list details issues in Power Automate for desktop that are now resolved:
An issue where the 'Filter data table' action crashed when non-filtered columns contained inconsistent data types has now been resolved.
An issue occurring in Self-healing in multimonitor setups, where the primary screen was always captured, with the model receiving the wrong visual context when the target window was on a secondary monitor, has now been resolved.
An issue where copying and pasting an action did not preserve its Self-healing repair status has now been resolved.
An issue where the disabled 'Local' button in the Variables pane had insufficient visual contrast in dark mode has now been resolved.
An issue where the 'Don't ask again' option in the machine runtime installation prompt was not being respected has now been resolved.
An issue where the 'Replace text' action replaced incorrect characters when processing Japanese text has now been resolved.
An issue in the ‘Create new data table’ action, where the data table editor automatically converted certain string values to datetime format, has now been resolved.
An issue where opening a flow resulted in an error due to duplicate function keys has now been resolved.
An issue where a warning was incorrectly displayed, when using a local sensitive variable to populate a password field in a nested scope of a local subflow, has now been resolved.
An issue where comparing a blank object with a string value in an expression caused a null reference exception has now been resolved.
An issue where desktop flows invoked from the console appeared as cancelled in the Power Automate portal after a period of time has now been resolved.
An issue where renaming a global variable also renamed all other global variable usages within the same statement inside a local subflow has now been resolved.
An issue where the 'Unzip files' action could extract files to locations outside the specified target folder has now been resolved.
An accessibility issue where the 'Self-healing (Preview)' label was not associated with its information icon has now been resolved.
