This article describes the new features, improvements and fixes to existing functionality that are included in this build.

New features
The action ‘Retrieve environment variable’ has now been introduced under the ‘Power Automate environment’ module, offering direct integration with environment variables in desktop flows.
The virtual desktop option for running flows in picture-in-picture mode has now been introduced in preview, offering an alternative to the existing child session mode.
The context option ‘Go to subflow’ has now been introduced in ‘Run subflow’ actions, allowing you to quickly navigate to the selected subflow.
Enhancements & Improvements
Configurable URL or tab title match modes (Mixed, Exact, Partial, Regex) are now available in browser launching actions that are configured to attach to a running browser instance.
A proxy configuration option has now been added to the Power Automate troubleshooter app, allowing you to configure proxy settings via both registry and configuration files.
A cache diagnostics category has now been added to the Power Automate troubleshooter app, allowing you to invalidate cache files and terminate running Power Automate processes.
The proper public documentation links have now been added to the UI/Web automation diagnostics category of the Power Automate troubleshooter app.
The version used in each flow run now persists in the respective logs/run details of the flow.
A teaching tip is now available in the flow designer to provide user guidance on saving draft flows or publishing them.
Users can now create connection references from Power Automate for desktop, even when access policies are enabled in Entra ID to allow only verified and compliant devices.
In scenarios where users were not properly informed about version conflicts, when updating flows with existing drafts in older Power Automate versions without version control, the proper messages are now displayed to the users.
Additional permissions related to Version history are now checked in the Dataverse issues diagnostic of the Power Automate troubleshooter.
The Version history functionality is now also supported in Pay-As-You-Go environments.
The ‘Internet options’ step in the Connectivity issues diagnostic of the Power Automate troubleshooter has now been removed to simplify the users’ experience.

The following list details issues in Power Automate for desktop that are now resolved:
Some accessibility issues in the Version history pane have now been resolved.
An issue where the flow name editor control retained a discarded flow name when renaming a draft flow has now been resolved.
An issue where the machine runtime installation popup could appear when the main Power Automate window was in the background has now been resolved.
An issue with the initialization timing of preloaded designer instances has now been resolved.
Some accessibility issues in custom error handling have now been resolved.
An issue that could cause runtime null reference errors has now been resolved.
An issue with the behavior of exception block retry policies has now been resolved.
An issue with the Assert action not supporting Boolean function expressions has now been resolved.
An issue where consecutive invocations of a local subflow with different output variables caused validation failures has now been resolved.
Other announcements
- The automation browser option in the ‘Launch new Internet Explorer’ action will be deprecated soon, with the proper warning message now appearing when used in the flow.
