Integrate ESG data into data lakehouse

Microsoft Fabric provides a rich set of data connectors allowing you to connect to a wide variety of data stores and supports data experiences based on different user scenarios to bring your data into lakehouses. You can use these options to bring your environmental, social, and governance (ESG) data into a Fabric lakehouse:

• Get data into a lakehouse

  1. Local file upload
  2. Copy tool in pipelines
  3. Dataflows
  4. Notebook code (Apache spark libraries)

• Create shortcuts to data in a lakehouse

For user scenarios that require a copy of the data to be stored, the ESG data estate capability comes with a lakehouse called the IngestedRawData_LH to store the raw ESG data.

After the ESG data is integrated into your Fabric lakehouse from external sources, the ingested data needs to be transformed into the ESG data model schema. Transformation allows data aggregations and running analytical, metrics creation, and reporting workloads on the ESG data.
