User acceptance test script: embedded

Follow these steps to validate your implementation before rolling out Dragon Copilot to your users.

If you find it useful to work with a printout of this article:

1. Right‑click this page, select Print > Save as PDF.
2. Select More settings, clear Headers and footers and activate Background graphics on.
3. Select Save.

Step 1: Launch Dragon Copilot in your EHR mobile app

1. From your EHR mobile app, select Test Patient from the Patient List, Schedule, or ED Track Board. 2. Confirm the DAX Copilot icon is displayed as an activity on the bottom of the screen.

Step 2: Create an ambient recording

Select the ambient recording button to turn on the microphone.
Confirm the waveform icon turns blue and the timer begins counting.

Last week, she had cold symptoms including a cough, runny nose, and sinus congestion, but no sore throat. Her right ear was plugged and popping last week, but not painful. She reports a one-week history of fever up to 100.5. She had ear infections as a kid, but no tubes inserted. 2. Confirm that the waveform icon turns blue and the timer begins counting.
1. Select the ambient recording button again to turn off the microphone. 2. Confirm that the microphone is off.

Step 3: Launch Dragon Copilot in your EHR

1. Launch your EHR app, and open the encounter documented in Step 2 above. 2. Locate and open the Notes window. 3. Type "hpisec" and press Enter. 4. Confirm that the History of present illness section contains the highlighted AI summary.
1. Select the ellipsis icon next to the History of Present Illness SmartSection. 2. In the Actions menu, select DAX Copilot. 3. Confirm that a new DAX Copilot window opens on the Timeline tab.
Confirm the Transcript and Note cards appear as shown.

Step 4: Settings

Confirm Information Assist is enabled: 1. In the Settings menu select Extensions. 2. Select Information Assist. 3. Confirm the Enable extension option is active. 4. Select the Information sources you want to include.

Step 5: Microphone input

1. Select the microphone icon at the top of the screen. 2. Select a microphone. An omnidirectional microphone is recommended, as it captures sound evenly from all directions (front, back, and sides). 3. Confirm the microphone you want to use.

Step 6: Transcript

Step 7: Orders (if enabled)

1. In your EHR app, open the Visit tab. 2. Confirm the 'Orders discussed during the visit show here' section contains an order for Ozempic.

Step 8: Chat box

1. Place the cursor into the chat box. 2. Turn on the dictation microphone and say, what are the side-effects of Zantac, then turn off the microphone. 3. Select the right arrow inside the chat box. 4. Once the output is generated, confirm the Information Assist card appears as shown, then close the card.

Step 9: Library

Step 10: Microphone input

1. In the Resources section scroll down to the Support and training section. 2. Select Join drop-in support. 3. Follow the on-screen prompts and confirm a new Teams meeting window opens. 4. Confirm an active Join now button is available.
1. In the Resources section select Schedule remote training. 2. Confirm a new Schedule Appointment with Microsoft window opens with the ability to select a date and time to schedule an appointment.

Step 11: Dictation microphone

Select the Note tab. Then select the dictation microphone icon in the lower left.
Confirm the microphone has a solid blue background indicating the microphone is on.
1. Say go to HPI, then say go to end. 2. Confirm the cursor is at the end of the History of Present Illness section.
1. Turn the microphone on. 2. Say The patient struggles with weight loss and is requesting a weight loss medication, then turn off the microphone. 3. Confirm the text appears in the History of Present Illness section.

Step 12: Sync to EHR

Step 13: Embedded app resource center

In the app, select a patient and confirm the Resource center link is displayed at the top left of the screen or select the help icon in the upper right corner.
Select Resource center and confirm the Resource center window opens.
